Smooth and Improve your Decolletage with Ultherapy

Typically, the face, neck, hands, and cleavage are the first areas that show signs of aging, because these areas are more likely to be exposed to UV rays. Although many of us spend a lot of time applying creams and serums on our faces, we often neglect our decolletage.

Our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Richard Levin, recommends Ultherapy — a non-invasive, FDA-approved ultrasound treatment for rejuvenating the cleavage area — to his patients in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Stick with us to find out how this new technology erases fine wrinkles.

Ultrasound therapy for your decolletage

As you age, the proteins that keep your skin looking plump weaken due to external pollutants, glycation, and UV rays.

Although you can reduce your risk for developing wrinkles by following a healthy lifestyle and staying away from pollutants, aging will still occur. When controlling your lifestyle is no longer enough to prevent signs of aging, Ultherapy can be of help.

Dr. Levin uses Ultherapy to counteract the effects of time and gravity on your skin. The ultrasound therapy makes it possible to target deep tissues while bypassing the superficial layer of skin.

During an Ultherapy treatment, Dr. Levin uses ultrasound imaging, which allows him to get a better view of the tissues targeted during the treatment. This ensures that the energy is deposited where the tissues need it the most.

What happens during an Ultherapy treatment

During an Ultherapy session, Dr. Levin asks you to lay down and relax while he and his staff use the Ultherapy device to heat up the tissues in your cleavage area. You may experience some discomfort, but the treatment is non-invasive, so there’s no need for painkillers or anesthetics.

While Dr. Levin sends out ultrasounds to your problem areas, your tissues start to contract and produce more collagen and elastin.

The procedure lasts about half an hour, but your body continues ramping up the collagen production in the treated area for the next three months. After three months, your collagen production stabilizes and you get to see the final result: a smooth, wrinkle-free decolletage.

Find out if you’re a good candidate for Decolletage Ultherapy

The ideal candidate for Decolletage Ultherapy has fine lines or dull skin and doesn’t suffer from any active skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, or infections in the cleavage area.

If you want to be able to wear swimsuits and strapless dresses without worrying about the fine lines on your cleavage, contact us to schedule an appointment. Our staff can advise you on what treatments work best for your rejuvenation goals.
